Age 91, of Carrick passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 12, 2023.

Beloved wife of the late James F. Kelly Sr. Loving mother of Jim (Lucy), Grace (Red) Geary, Mary (the late Richard) Rick, the late Karen; Nancy (John) Mihalcin; Jane (Frank) Fisher; Mike (Geralyn); the late Patrick (survived by Lisa), Anne, the late infant Peter, and Matthew.

Loving grandmother of James and the late Billy Kelly; Justin, Kelly (Brian) and Katherine Geary; Alex Rick; Ashley Farester; Butch (Lauren) Kelly, Megan, Amy, Maggie and Laura Mihalcin; Peter, Matthew and Maura Fisher; Sean, Connor (Shayna) and Ryan Kelly; Devin (Alex), Julia and Madeline Kelly; and Betty and Frannie Kelly. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. She was the special aunt of Patrick and Terry Connelly and Kevin Kelly, along with numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Patrick L. and Anna Lee Connelly, and siblings Grace Morrow, Robert Connelly, Patrick (Corky) Connelly and Mary Ann Huston.

She was a proud graduate of the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and went on to have a long career as a registered nurse. She believed in the ‘Patient First’ approach to nursing that she learned from the nuns at the Mercy - a practice she maintained professionally and privately, caring for family and friends whenever the need would arise.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, PA 15227, 412-881-4100. Funeral prayer on Saturday morning at 9:00. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Paul Cathedral, 108 North Dithridge Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
