James D. Foster, age 67 passed peacefully on Saturday, May 7, 2022 of Upper St. Clair, formerly of Whitehall. Loving son of the late William H. and Virginia G. Foster; beloved brother of William R. (the late Debora) Foster; cherished uncle of Jared Foster. Jim is a graduate of The Village Academy and the Bradford Business School. From the day he was born, Jim coped with physical disabilities and limitations. But despite his adversities, he was always the kindest, most gentle, and the most caring person you could know. His sense of humor, positive disposition and genuine innocence endeared him to everyone. He was a joy and a blessing to all who knew him. Jim was a man of deep faith, and fully believed in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was a life-long member of Baldwin Community United Methodist Church, which was a significant and important part of his life. He loved his involvement with the Young Adults Group as a young man, and his participation in the discipleship classes and Bible studies over the years. Now, he has left this earth, to find eternal peace and comfort in heaven, free of his handicaps and to be gloriously reunited with his beloved Mom and Dad. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, PA 15227, Tuesday, May 10, 2022 4p.m.-8p.m. Funeral services will be held at the John F. Slater Chapel on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 11a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to Baldwin Community United Methodist Church, 5001 Baptist Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15236 or Community Living and Support Services, 1400 South Braddock Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15218.
