Obituary For James D. Miller

Age 80, unexpectedly on Monday, August 2, 2021 of Arlington, formerly of Knoxville.

Beloved husband of 56 years to Johanna M. Miller; loving father of Michael J. (Adrienne), David J. (Ruthann Woods) and Erin L. Miller (Earl Johnson); proud pap of Joseph, Evan, Christopher, Gemma and Dominic; brother of John "Jack" Miller, Margaret Miller and the late Tom Miller; brother-in-law of Dolly Nowowiejski and the late Bob (survived by Monna) Babski. Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. J.D. was a retired City of Pittsburgh Police Officer with 25 years of service. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Friday, August 6, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of his blessing service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held privately. The Miller family would appreciate if all visitors please wear masks.

    So Sad for the loss of Jim. Jim and I were close friends during our school day at St Canice. We did many fun things throughout the 50's. Rest in Peace my Buddy.
