Obituary For James E. Gabler

Age 73, suddenly on Monday, December 5, 2022, of Clairton, formerly of Whitehall.

Beloved husband of Leslie; cherished dad of Beth Ann (Jason) Schultz and Erika (Matt) Leroch; proud pap of Brendan, Gabrielle, Matthew and Aidan; son of the late Cletus "Duesy" and Elva Gabler; brother of Tom (Mickey) and Gary. Also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins; loving companion of Kim and family. Jim proudly served as a SMSgt in the U.S. Air Force for 30 years. He was an avid reader and a History/airplane enthusiast. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 2-7 p.m. where a service will be held privately, immediately following visitation. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association, 4 Gateway Center, 444 Liberty Avenue, Suite 1300, Pittsburgh, PA 15222. The family kindly asks that if you are feeling ill, please wear a mask or refrain from visiting.
