Obituary For James H. Linkes

Age 69, of Carrick, on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, of natural causes.

Jimmy was born on December 4, 1953, the third child of nine to the late Herman and Dolores (Zorn) Linkes; brother of Nancy, Diane, Elaine and Judy Linkes, Linda (Greg) Mondry, Ron (Liz) Linkes and the late David and Sandra Linkes; uncle of Raymond (Mallory), Jessica and Justin Mondry and Nicole and Kristina Linkes; great-uncle of Hayden and Levi; former brother-in-law of Mary Ann (McAleer) Linkes Miller (Dave Miller). For most of his life, Jimmy was the "go to" guy for family and friends when anything needed to be fixed, installed, painted or assembled, and all their dogs welcomed his visits. He retired from ALCO Parking Corporation in 2019. Per his wishes, there will be no visitation. Arrangements handled by the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227. If desired, memorial donations can be made to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. We wish to thank Jefferson Hospital's ICU Team for making his final two days as comfortable as possible. Lastly, thank you Jim for everything and always coming to our rescue! Your work is done and now you can rest in peace.

    To the Linkes family I am so sorry for the loss of your brother. Jimmy was always ready to help when something needed fixed. He loved sitting and getting doggy kisses from all his furry friends. He was one of a kind and will be missed by many. Be at Peace Jimmy. 💜
