Obituary For James J. "Gump" Pippi

March 20, 1934 - December 6, 2016

Pippi, James J. "Gump" Age 82, on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, the angels came and lifted him up and St. Anthony reached down and took hold of his hand and carried him to heaven, to relieve his pain and suffering, and be at peace.

Beloved husband of 65 years to Dolores M. (Jankowski); loving dad to Keith J. (Corrine) Pippi; proud grandfather of Laurie Ann (Felix) Flory and James Pippi; great-grandfather of Vivienne and Liam. Preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Also survived by in-laws, nieces and nephews. Gump was a self-made business man, employing 11 mechanics for his repair garage and 17 brokers for his trucking business, and for the ten years after, employed by Pitt Ohio Express, supervising their fleet of trucks and repairs. "To all of you who have made my being alive so full, my thanks and all my love." Visitations and funeral services were held privately. Arrangements by the John F.
