I met Professor Jim Lesko in Korea when I was a university student. He was such a kind and wise teacher, always encouraging Korean students to develop their skills and grow into better people. Thanks to his guidance, I was able to win an international design competition in the U.S., something I could not have achieved without his support. He worked tirelessly in his classes, always teaching with passion, kindness, and dedication. To us, he was more than a professor—he was a mentor and a true role model. Even now, and in the years to come, I continue to create meaningful design works and achieve steady growth as a designer, carrying forward the values he taught me. I deeply respect him and feel great sadness at his passing. Professor Lesko lived a meaningful and inspiring life, and he will always be remembered by his students. May he rest in peace.

I got to meet Jim when he was trying to move from Connecticut to Johnstown or Windber. He was such a nice man - honored to have had the pleasure. So sorry to hear he passed. I talked to him on November 15th and he sounded very happy - glad to be near his brother - and was working on his home. Rest in peace, Jim! Sue Lease
