McKeen, Jr., James S. "Jim"
Age 84, of Upper St. Clair, formerly of Baldwin and Whitehall, surrounded by his family, died peacefully at home on Monday, March 9, 2026.

Husband of the late Virginia “Ginny” (Tweedie) McKeen for 58 years; loving father of Michael William McKeen of Columbus, OH and Marla Joy (Paul) Bruschi of Brentwood; granddad of Paul James “PJ” Bruschi and Kellie Lynne Bruschi; son of the late James S. McKeen, Sr. and Margaret (Peg) McKeen; brother of Alice (James) Yearsley; brother-in-law of Carolyn (Budd) Johnson; caring uncle of nieces and nephews; loving Grandpa Jim to many adopted grandchildren.

Jim attended school at St Bernard’s and graduated high school from South Catholic. He attended college at Point Park University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and was the definition of a “numbers guy”. Jim had a successful accounting career with Mine Safety Appliances. Jim believed in serving his community. He was a lifetime member of the Option Independent Fire Department (now Baldwin Fire Rescue) and was instrumental in starting the Baldwin EMS. Friends and family will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 (412-881-4100) on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 12:00-8:00 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel at John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc. If desired, the family suggests that donations be made to your local volunteer fire department.
