Obituary For James T. Gemperle

May 13, 1929 - August 7, 2018

Gemperle, James T., age 89, on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 of Brentwood. Husband of the late Sally Ann (McElligott) Gemperle; father of Regina (Peter) Vercilla and James Gemperle, Jr.; son of the late John J. and Ottilla (Gaugler) Gemperle; brother of Sr. Jeanne Gemperle, the late John, Emil, Albert, Corrine and David. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. James' family would like to thank Tina Miles who was his devoted caregiver for many years. James was a 60 year member of the Royal Outing Club, Bloomfield Liedertafel and had retired from Koppers after many years as an Engineer. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Friday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Apostle Parish, St. Wendelin Church at 10:30 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to Mainstay Life Services, 200 Roessler Road, Pittsburgh PA 15220.
