She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Ted and her two sons, Ted III (Denise) and Tim (Susan), as well as, her daughter Jody. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, the lights of her life; Donovan Johnson IV, Thomas Johnson, Alyzia Hoberek, Clare Eckenrode (Martin); her nephews Jordan (Maddie) and Miles Cornwell. Her sisters, Donna (Mike) Allen and Martha Cornwell, and her brother, Robert (Kim Cornwell) will miss her dearly. Janet spent so much of her time being there for others. She worked as a teacher in the Ohio Public School system, as well as, an administrative assistant for several companies. She fought and won several battles with cancer. She touched many lives. A visitation will be held at John F. Slater Funeral Home Chapel, 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh Pa, 15227, on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205 or to breast cancer research and treatment are always appreciated.
