Obituary For Janet S. Sontz

Age 74, peacefully at home on Monday, December 4, 2023, of Bethel, CT.

Loving mother of Erica Sontz and Aaron (Melissa John) Sontz; daughter of the late Harry and Grace Bangel; sister of Alan Bangel and Leslie Guttman; dear lifelong friend of Marcia Trummer and her guardian angel, Elizabeth Ruiz. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Janet will be especially missed by her "Teana". Janet was a devoted animal lover. She loved to travel and was an avid reader. She was a spirited and strong-willed woman who always had a story to share. Janet was happy to be able to spend her last few months in her own "little slice of heaven" being cared for by her son and his partner. Visitation and services were held lovingly and privately as per Janet's wishes. Arrangements handled by the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227.
