Obituary For Jean L. Restauri (Paris)

Age 90, on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, of Pleasant Hills, originally of Rockford, IL.

Beloved wife of the late Donald N. "Ducky" Restauri; loving mother of Lisa (James) DaBaldo, Tracy (Stephen "Beaver") Dunlap, Kelley (Kevin) Macek and Ducky (Cathy) Restauri; proud Grammy of Anthony and Nicholas (fiancée Taylor) DaBaldo, Ashlee, Steve, II (fiancée Kamryn) and Rachel Dunlap, Marissa (fiancé Ethan), Mackenzie and Alayna Meis, and Alexander and Cecelia Restauri; daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine (Prezioso) Paris; sister of the late Florence (Dominic) Tarquini, Ida (Leonard Block) (Don) Calkins and Marie (Sam) Sherman. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and her beloved pet friend, Roscoe.

Jean worked the cash register for many years at South Park Golf Course, where she was known for her kindness and dedication and truly loved taking care of her golfers. She also spent time as a school crossing guard and coaching softball at Mowry Park. Jean enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, including trips to the casino, a good milkshake, fun times at Splash Lagoon, and, most of all, time with her family. Affectionately known as Grammy to her grandchildren, she was their proud, devoted supporter, taking every chance to be there for their important moments. Many special memories were made in her kitchen, especially when she was making her meatballs or preparing holiday meals. She always made sure everyone felt welcome and well fed. She was especially fond of her yellow Volkswagen Beetle and also loved music, especially Lionel Richie, and even traveled to Baltimore to see him in concert.

Having recently celebrated her 90th birthday with a party, Jean will be remembered for her kindness, her warmth, and the love she gave so freely. Her family will cherish the countless memories and carry them forward. She also cared deeply for Lindsay, Luke and Gavin.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Bridges Hospice for their care and compassion.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 from 1-8 p.m. where funeral services will be held in the funeral home Chapel on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to Bridges Hospice at https://www.bridgeshospice.org/donate or the Alleghenies United Cerebral Palsy Service Coordination at https://scalucp.org/ Please send condolences to www.johnfslater.com
