To Jessie's Family: I am saddened for the pain caused to this beautiful family. We were not at home at the time of Jessie's passing. The Tumas family is made up of many outstanding people and Jessie was certainly one. Memories are of a tiny little lady with a heart of gold and a smile to match. Blessings to all, especially her precious children.

Maroney Family & Friends, Our team at Bike Pittsburgh was heartbroken to hear about Jessie's death. None of us knew her, but we have learned that she was a loving friend, mother, and partner. Our hearts go out to you, and we promise to keep working for streets where everyone can be safe walking, biking, and rolling. I wanted to share pictures from the vigil that students and neighbors held on Wednesday, December 11th for Jessie and others killed while walking and biking in the same area. https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjBULrt The album includes some videos of the comments made by students and Councilwoman Strassburger. Unfortunately I started recording late and missed her speaking about Jessie specifically, which I am sorry about. We will work to hold her and her colleagues to their commitments. Please reach out if there's anything else you think we can do: advocacy@bikepgh.org. Warm regards, Seth Bush, Advocacy Manager

Joe and Jan, I am sorry that God has chosen to take Jessie. Parents should never have to bury their children. However, even in your grief, I hope and pray that you appreciate all of your memories of Jessie and be thankful for the legacies she has left for you to influence and provide guidance as they grow into adulthood. It is up to you to fill the void for Jessie's children, and I am confident in your ability to serve as Jessie's surrogate for her children and your grandchildren. She and you are in my thoughts and prayers. Paul Kutcher
