Obituary For Joan Patricia (McElherron) Tadler

Age 85, peacefully in her sleep, on Monday, January 27, 2025, of Pittsburgh.

Beloved wife of the late William J.; loving mother of John (Mary) Tadler, Jennifer (Robert) Carter and Ann Tadler; proud Grandma of Patrouious Achatz and Molly, Corrina and Alice Tadler; daughter of the late Hugh and Mary McElherron; sister of Geraldine (John) Dzwlewicz, Richard (Joan) McElherron and the late Alice (Bob) Ravert, Maureen (Eddie) Cardoza and Frances (Don) Roberts. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and their families. Joan worked as a Registered Nurse for the VA Hospital for more than 20 years. She loved traveling, camping and a good glass of wine around the campfire. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Thursday from 10-11 a.m. where a blessing service will follow at 11:00.
