On Monday, May 22, 2023, at the age of 84, Joan Stefanyak of Baldwin, PA, went to join her husband in Heaven. Born in Hays, Joan is the beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Stefanyak; loving mother of Joseph A. (Robyn) Stefanyak, Jacqueline Hunter (Bryan Stacy), and James (Christine) Stefanyak; grandmother of Joey, Becky, Ella, and Laney; daughter of the late August and Hazel Spicuzza; sister of the late Elizabeth and Sandra Spicuzza. Joan is survived by many extended family and friends. She was a loving wife and mother who always found a way to care for others. Her laugh brought joy to any room, she knew how to find the positives in any situation and she always trusted that God had a plan for her. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Friday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish, Holy Angels Church at 10:30 am.
