Obituary For Joann C. Berkoben

May 7, 1935 - July 1, 2016

Berkoben, Joann C. (Colteryahn) Age 81, after a brief illness on Friday, July 1, 2016, of Whitehall.

Beloved wife of 59 years to Harold L. Berkoben; loving mother to Dr. Michael S. Berkoben of NC; sister of Jack Colteryahn of TX and Judy (Charles) Dunaway of Gibsonia; aunt of Jodi (Ray) Lassinger, Matthew (Gina) Dunaway, Mark (Jennifer) Dunaway and their families. Joann was a proud graduate of Geneva College and was a retired school teacher from the Baldwin Whitehall School District. After her retirement, she spent several happy years working with her dear friend, Rosalie Kochenbach at JARO. She spent many happy winters with her Pittsburgh family in Charleston, SC. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2016 in Baldwin Community United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements made by John F.     Our Deepest Sympathy to your family. We taught with Joanne at the high school . She was my 12th grade home room teacher and taught a summer session on how to type! It has served me well. She was a classy lady at all times. She will be missed by many.
