February 15, 1930 - April 25, 2017

Schossow, JoAnn R. (Eckert), on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 of Whitehall Borough. Wife of the late William G. Schossow, Jr.; mother of her twins William G. Schossow and Cynthia A. (George) Cox, both of Whitehall; loving grandmother of Cameron Cox and PFC Cooper Cox, USMC; sister-in-law of Martha Yost of Cape Coral, FL and John Willey of Ventura, CA. JoAnn will be greatly missed by her family, friends and loyal companion, Spunky. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday and Friday, April 27 and 28, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday in Whitehall United Presbyterian Church, 4935 E. Willock Road, Pittsburgh PA 15227 at 11:00 a.m. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. If desired, family suggests contributions to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.

    Dear Bill, Cind, George, Cam, Coop, Family, Friends, Our Deepest Sympathy for the loss of your Mom and Grand Mom. She was full of wit and always touched our hearts with a warm welcome and embrace. Our hearts and prayers are with her and you as you send her home to our Heavenly Father.
