Obituary For Joanne Dimond

June 28, 1950 - April 28, 2016

Dimond, Joanne (Melvin) Age 65, peacefully on April 28, 2016, of Finleyville, formerly of Wexford and Brentwood

Wife of the late Richard Dimond; daughter of the late of William H., Jr. and Gail (Ruff) Melvin; sister of Cheryl (David) Doman, Robert (Leah) Melvin and the late William H. Melvin, III; aunt of Kristy (Matt) Fink, Tracy Doman, Nicholas, Abigail, Allison Melvin and the late David Doman; great-aunt of Carter, Savanna and Will. She worked for PNC bank for numerous years, beginning as a teller and advancing to a Trust Client Advisor. Joanne had a kind heart and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. There will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227.

    I am sorry for the loss of your dear Joanne. We struggle with the question of why something like this happens, why people even have to die at all. God hates when things like this happen. He has a purpose that includes "death being no more" -Rev. 21:3, 4, as well as promising to â??undoâ?? death with the resurrection of our loved ones â?? John 5:28, 29. Currently the world is "lying in the power of the wicked one", but not for much longer. This hope has helped me get through some tough times and I hope it helps you now.
