Obituary For Joanne Ruggiero

Age 80, peacefully on Saturday, August 14, 2021, of the South Side and Baldwin Boro.

Beloved wife of the late Raymond J. Ruggiero; loving mother of Raymond (Marina) Ruggiero, Lisa Kemmerling and Michelle (David Terrick); proud grandmother of Donald (Jessica) Kemmerling, Alex Ruggiero, Renee (Don Smith) Ruggiero, David Terrick, Tyler Olzak and Nathan Terrick; great-grandmother of Braeson, Julian, Malena, Faith, Kaitlynn, Kiersten, Tobias, Jacob, Esther, Deklin and Eliah; sister of Marie Carroll, Marlene (Tom) Goob and the late Don Wagner and Lorraine Mackowiak. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Friday morning at 9:30. Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish, Holy Angels Church at 10:30 a.m. If desired family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.

    So sorry to hear about Joanne's passing. She was a 2nd mom to all the kids in the neighborhood. She fed us and took care of us and gave a whack if we deserved it! She was a very special lady, and the world is a little less bright without her in it.
