Obituary For Johanna M. Peters

Peters, Johanna M. "Jo" (Beermann) Age 87, peacefully on Saturday, January 15, 2022, of Castle Shannon.

Wife of the late Walter R. Peters; loving mother of Roxann (Steve) Bak, Richard (Jan), Robert (Tina), Rachel (Jim) Staab; proud grandmother of Jonathan (Marissa) and Justin (Courtney) Bak, Tyler and Tanner, Megan and Haley Staab; daughter of the late Godfried and Johanna (Grogan) Beermann; sister of the late Marie Beckman, Godfried, Bill and Edward Beermann. Also survived by nieces and nephews and her dear friend Lori Maushart. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Thursday, January 20, 2022, 3-8 pm. Funeral Prayer on Friday morning at 9:15 am. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Hope Parish at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to an animal shelter of one's choice.

    I've been blessed with knowing Jo and her family for over 3 years. It has been an honor to have been with her and what a blessing it has been to know her. The family has been such a joy to work with and see how much Jo was loved and taken care of. We shared the love of animals, talking about her beloved dogs she had over the years and & the birds we enjoyed watching. I will miss my time with her and the family. Cathy
