Beloved husband of 67 years to Jean (Donohue); loving father of Arlene Cassidy, Ann (Mike) Cox, Ellen (Jim) Hancovsky and Joe (Eileen) Cassidy; proud grandfather of Christine (Joey Scarlatelli) Deely, Laura Cassidy, Amanda (Ben Lancaster) Deely, Mike (Lindsay) Cox, Jenna (Mike) Rager, Christa (Bill) Schneider, Juliana Cox, Danny Cox, Brett (Lauren) Cox, Brianna Hancovsky, Rob (Lauren Gross) Hancovsky, Joe Hancovsky, Connor (Allison Fox) Hancovsky and Brynn, Elle, Kiernan, Mara and Shea Cassidy; great-grandfather of 18; brother-in-law of Ed Donohue. Jay was preceded in death by his granddaughter Kelly Cox, grandson Kaedan Cassidy and his parents John and Katherine Cassidy; A devout catholic, Jay was a longtime, active parishioner of St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church, where he was a Eucharistic Minister and served funeral masses. He was an avid swimmer, biker and ice cream eater extraordinaire. Friends will be received at the John F.
