When Jesus met Mary and the mourners after Lazarus died, he was so moved by the grieving that John 11:35 states "Jesus wept". It is true and right to mourn for a honored member of "The Band".

Prayers at this sad time for the family and for his brothers and sisters in the UBC who valued him as a friend and colleague. Jack worked with us on the content of the training manuals for those in the floorcovering trade. He was dedicated to teaching and learning the art and craft of floor covering. All with dedication over many years and a great motivation to share his skill and experience with those who would become UBC workers. He was during all the weeks of work sacrificing time with his well loved family. And he made this sacrifice with good humor and generosity. It was a privilege for all of us who worked with him to know him. - Carole O'Keefe, former Project Manager, curriculum Development, CITF

Jack was my mentor when I started as an instructor for the union, I can see him with a cigar and a glass of bourbon siting outside at the Carpenters in Las Vegas telling stories. Mark Olsen

Jack was a great man. He was my teacher in my apprenticeship . Jack was a Union man from head to toe. He not only taught me a trade to provide for my family, but he also taught us how to be smart with our money and our career...life lessons that he didn't have to teach us, but he did because he genuinely cared about our brotherhood and it's members. It's safe to say that NO one has done more for the floor covers Union in this entire country than Jack. I'm proud to be able to say that I was taught by Mr. Dean. Rest In Peace Jack. Johnny Lubar
