To the Azzara family, my thoughts and prayers of comfort are for you all. John was a great guy to work for and with at Lillian Taylor Camp back in the mid-60's. I will always remember his dance routines in the staff dining hall.

The Azzara Family, so sorry to hear of Mr Azzara's passing. I have so many fond memories of him growing up. I always remember how hard he worked for his family, the time and attention he would give someone when talking to them. His love of the Pirates even when they were hard to love even a little. He was a great role model and always had an interesting story to tell. I liked listening to him and my dad talk especially about when they were growing up. (And man they could talk for hours!) The time we went to Baltimore to see the Orioles play at Camden Yards, I will never forget that trip when i look back it reminds me just how lucky we were to have dads that would do something like that for their kids. He leaves behind a wonderful legacy there will never be another Bossman, he was a true original.

To Leslie and family. So sad for your loss. The time I spent with John at Tarentum Station will never be forgotten. His smile and laugh always went with his big heart. We attended many Pirates baseball games together and win or lose we always had a great time. Though we move on in life I will always be thankful that John was a part of mine. Godspeed John. Heaven has another angel. Your friend, Jeff "Homer" Norris

Lee and family, I'm so sorry for your loss.I will never forget the years of memories at Tarentum Station and Sunday nights at my house watching the Sopranos. The smile on his face when I walked in with a plate of my Mom's eggplant. The phone calls to each other when something jogged our memories of the past or just to catch up with each other All great times that will never be lost.
