Age 85, on Friday, February 14, 2014 of Baldwin Boro.

Beloved husband of 64 years to L. Joann Thomas; father of Richard D. Thomas and the late Debra Jean Gardner; grandfather of David (Maureen), Duane and Dean Thomas and Daniel Gardner; great-grandfather of Alec, Sean, Reagan, Conor, Bennet and Ella. Dick served in the US Navy during WWII and Korea. He was past Worshipful Master of Monongahela Masonic Lodge #269 and retired from TWA Airlines after 34 years of service. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Rd., Brentwood 15227, Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with full military honors.
