Obituary For John Silvio Posa

Age 57, passed away peacefully, on Thursday, November 5, 2020, of Baldwin.

Beloved husband and best friend of Laurie (Black); loving and proud father of Anthony (Lauren), Nicholas (Tracy) and Stephanie (C.J.) Cramer; beloved PapPap of Gianna, Kenzie and Vincenzo Posa, Tanner and Riley Orr and soon to be Jameson John Cramer; brother of Valera (Jeff Wagner) Posa; son of the late Silvio and Virginia; uncle of Kristin Ryan. John started at the post office as a clerk in 1984. He worked his way up through management to become plant manager in multiple processing plants across Pennsylvania. After earning degrees in accounting and organizational management, John left the postal service to join the Office of Inspector General as an auditor specialist, most recently with a promotion to program manager. Always the hard worker, John was also a state certified paramedic. He started with Baldwin EMS in 1991 and has most recently been with Brentwood EMS for over 15 years. John loved hockey, camping, boating, fishing, and all family gatherings. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Sunday, November 8, 2020 from 12-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday morning at 10:30 in Blessed Trinity, St. Albert the Great Church. Everyone please meet at church. Due to the current public health crisis, masks and social distancing guidelines must be adhered to.

    John was one-of-a-kind and a treasured co-worker. He was ever the teacher and leader who inspired and helped so many. He will be missed, but his legacy lives on. I hope there is some comfort he is at peace. My deepest condolences to Laurie and the entire Posa family. La famiglia nel coure.

    To the family of John Posa, this was truly an extreme shock to hear. John was a tremendous guy, always willing to share knowledge and help you any way he possibly could. If he didn't know the answer he knew someone who did and gladly made the connection for you or reached out on your behalf. He will truly be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this tough time. May the peace of God be with you.
