Obituary For Joseph A. Cannavine

On Wednesday, September 6, 2023, of Baldwin

Beloved husband of 62 years to the late Doris “Mickey” Hopkins Cannavine; father of Linda (Edward) Wlodarski of New Jersey; son of the late John and Antoinette Cannavine; brother of the late Mary (Roland) Crossley, Lena Cannavine and Emilia “Millie” Marbella. Joe is also survived by his aunt, Ruth R. (the late James) Tron and many loving nieces, nephews and their families.

Joe served in the U.S. Army as a corporal in the 11th Airborne Division during the Korean War. He worked as a pipe fitter for Baltimore & Ohio Railroad for many years. Joe later worked for the Baldwin-Whitehall School District as a bus driver.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. where a blessing service will be held in the funeral home Chapel at 12:00 p.m.
