Age 80, of Brentwood, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. Joe was a loving husband of 59 years to Patricia (Martin) DeBoth; proud father of Joseph M. DeBoth, Susan (Jeff) Molnar, and Rob (Sherry Malone) DeBoth; adoring "Pap" of Elijah, and Amelie DeBoth, Leanne, Nicole, Daniele, and Jamie Molnar, Robert and Kaitlin and Ethan DeBoth. He is survived by his sister Bede and three nieces, Sheron, Patricia and Cathleen. Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Olga and his sister, Gloria. Joe graduated from University of Pittsburgh with a Mechanical Engineering degree. He helped design and build rolling mills for steel manufacturing companies worldwide. Joe experienced a transformation when he discovered Christ during his 30’s. His faith was a very large part of life as his passion for God impacted every facet of his life. His love of God was felt through everything and by everyone. His greatest pleasures were spending time with his family, a good joke, watching the Steelers win six super bowls, and a home cooked meal. Joe’s warm personality, love, dependability, humor, and the joy he had when singing hymns was infectious and will always resonate within our hearts. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 3-8 p.m., where a funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday morning at 11:00.
