Age 72, after a long courageous battle, passed peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday, November 16, 2023, of South Park, formerly of Bethel Park. Husband of the late Beverly Dick; father of Joseph (Mollie) Cecere; Pap Pap of Gino and Ava; loving companion to Colleen Resh; son of the late Charles W. and Florence S. Dick; brother of Charles R. (Betty) Dick and Linda (the late Joseph ) Kubes. Also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. Joe retired from the water company in 2013. In his spare time, he was an aspiring chef, enjoyed going to the Meadows and watching NASCAR on Sundays. Joe will be missed by his family and friends and his dog, Bud, who was a huge part of his life. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Monday, November 20, 2023 from 2-7 p.m. Funeral prayer on Tuesday morning at 8:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Paul of the Cross Parish, Saint Anne Church at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to Humane Animal Rescue, 1101 Western Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15233.
