Obituary For Josephine Donna (Bolli) Hindman

Age 90, on Friday, January 28, 2022.

Josie , as she was best known, was born to her parents, Mary Chardella and Annibol Bolli, on March 19, 1931 in Pittsburgh. Her brother Frank was the first born, then Josie, Annette and Nancy. Their father died and mother remarried Silvio Dorato and they had a set of twins, Patsy and Sally.

We met in early September of 1945 on her first day in high school. I fell in love with her that day and predicted we would marry someday. We were 14 at the that time and five years later we married on September 6, 1950. Ours was a love affair that lasted until she went to Heaven. We had five children together, John, William, Linda, James and Mark. We were blessed with decent, honest children who brought both love and pleasure to our lives. Our family grew as our children married and had families of their own. As a result, we had 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Josie was a devout Catholic and devoted her life to helping others. She spent 12 years as a den mother in the Boy Scouts organization and helped guide those boys in the right direction. In addition to her work with the Scouts, she loved to work in our various flower gardens. She was famous for her baking skills and made sure our children's school lunches were made with homemade bread and buns. After retirement, we moved to Sun City West, Arizona and spent 21 years there. Josie became very active in the local church functions and became known as the "Baby Gown Lady," as she had made over 800 gowns for the infants of unwed mothers. I'm certain she has a special place in Heaven and, hopefully, there will be a place reserved for me when we are together again. - Her husband, John W. Hindman

My wife Renay Novak/Cardenas and I had an amazing opportunity to spend a few days with Uncle John and Aunt Jo a few years ago. I still remember watching the videos that Uncle John had taken from many of their trips across the country. One thing that will always standout to me is his limitless love that he had for Aunt Jo. We pray and hold everyone in our thoughts, prayers, and hearts. Heaven has gained another Angel. Love Daniel and Renay Cardenas
