Obituary For Judith Ann Gildea

November 7, 1942 - February 1, 2018 Gildea, Judith A., age 75, on Thursday, February 1, 2018 of Castle Shannon. Beloved wife of the late Michael; loving mother of Colleen (Samuel) Reese, Michele (Robert Peterson) Gildea and Michael (Joyce) Gildea; proud Grandma Judy of Casey, Madison and Mac Reese, and Amber and Abigail Gildea; great grandma of Carter Reese and Ava Eary; sister of the late Gary Wassel. Also survived by her niece, Natalie Durso and many loving cousins and friends. Judy was a graduate of St. Canice High School and was an active member of the alumni association. Her true passion was cooking. She cooked with Meals on Wheels and for the St. Anne Church Fish Fry and Pierogie Sale. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. and Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 12-6 p.m. Funeral prayer on Monday morning at 8:45. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anne Church at 9:30 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to Meals on Wheels, Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 935 Pine Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15234

    My prayers and thoughts to Judys family....Judy was a wonderful women I got to know at Salvatores...She was warm and feisty and I loved working with her. My favorite memory was watching her win big at the Shamrock event! Her joy that night was contagious!
