Unexpectedly but peacefully went to heaven on Thursday, May 7, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lipinski, and her mother, Mary (Gallo) Lipinski, who we know welcomed her into heaven with the warmest embrace. Loving wife of nearly 60 years to Frank W. Boyd Sr., with whom she shared a lifetime of love and partnership. Together they raised two incredible children, Stacey (John) Graves and Frank W. (Dina) Boyd Jr., who she loved dearly. She was also devoted “fur mama” to her beloved dog, Jax. She was a proud and devoted "Gram" or "Grandma" to her four granddaughters, who were the joy of her life: Alyson Boyd, Megan (Anthony) Vankirk, Mikala Graves, and Kelsi Boyd. Her love only grew deeper with the arrival of her two great grandchildren, Sofia Grondziowski and Colson Vankirk, who held a very special place in her heart and lovingly knew her as “JuJu.” She may have only stood 4’9”, but her personality was larger than life. Judy was fierce, opinionated, and never afraid to tell you exactly what she was thinking. She was a somewhat loyal Pittsburgh sports fan, especially when her teams were winning, and loved keeping up with current events and crime documentaries. She also had quite the sweet tooth and proudly called candy “her drug of choice.” Black licorice and Good & Plenty’s were always her favorites. A good Jersey Mike’s turkey and provolone sandwich could make her whole day. She also looked forward to spending time with her dear friends at Armstrong’s and Applebee’s, where weekly visits became some of her favorite routines. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family sharing laughs, giving advice whether you asked for it or not, and making memories with the people she loved most. Judy’s passing is a reminder of just how precious and fragile life truly is. Please hug your loved ones a little tighter, say the things you mean to say, and never take a single day for granted; you never truly know when it may be the last time. All services will be held privately by the family. Arrangements handled by the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227. In honor of Judy’s love for animals, memorial donations may be made to Bridge to Home Animal Rescue in her name. We find comfort knowing she is reunited once again with her beloved dogs, Asia, Abby, Luke, and Lucky. Contact Us to have your link and message added here. Please fill out the form below.
