Obituary For Kathleen Julia Baroffio

Kathy peacefully gained her angel wings at the age of 72, on November 17, 2023 with her son, Aaron Beatty and daughter-in-law Kim, by her side. Lovingly known as Nana, she is survived by her grandchildren Maya and AJ Beatty and her great grandchild, Celina Mosley. She is also survived by numerous family and friends, including her step-daughters Heather (Mike) and Harper Jones, Jennifer (John) and Brenna McPherson and Taryn (Shawn) Nottage.

Everyone who knew Kathy knew that she was very strong, funny, loving and extremely passionate about her family. She went above and beyond to take care of her family, often putting her own needs aside. She absolutely adored and spoiled her grandchildren at each and every opportunity possible! Her other passions included cheering on the Steelers, cooking delicious Italian foods, loving her numerous cats and playing the lottery. Prior to retirement, Kathy held herself to a very strict, strong and strenuous work ethic. As a single mother, Kathy worked very hard and was dedicated to providing for her only son Aaron.

In 2019, she was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband Robert "Bob" Baroffio, Jr. She met Bob 30 years ago on a blind date and it truly was love at first sight for both of them. They loved (and fought) hard, and their humor and antics together could make you laugh so hard you cried. After four lonely years without her beloved Bob, they are finally reunited and resting together again at peace. Kathy is also preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Catherine (O’Donnell) Perrone, as well as countless friends and family members.

Kathy was also very religious and a devout Catholic. She fought until the very end with such strength, grace and bravery. She will never be forgotten and she will forever be in our hearts and missed very much everyday.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 2:00 -6:00 p.m. A Blessing Service will follow at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Kathy's family is requesting donations be made to the Catholic Charities Diocese of Pittsburgh, 212 9th Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
