Obituary For Kaylei Rae Kirk (Lucas)

Kaylei Rae Kirk (Lucas), age 22, passed suddenly on Monday, March 9, 2026, of Carrick.

Amazing, cherished daughter of Casey Kirk and Bryan Lucas; loving, caring and devoted sister of Kameron, Bryan "Little Bry" and Akira; beloved granddaughter of Lynda and Bill and Charlene and the late Kenneth. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Kaylei was someone whose aspirations soared high. She chased her dreams with courage and determination, never allowing obstacles to dim her spirit. Her strength was unwavering, her dedication relentless, and her compassion for others was something that touched everyone who knew her.

As she grew into the remarkable woman we all remember, her confidence and grace inspired those around her. She carried herself with a quiet poise, yet there was a fire within her - a passion for life that was impossible to ignore. Her accomplishments reflected the perseverance that defined her. She showed us what it means to keep going, to believe in yourself, and to pursue what matters with your whole heart. Beyond her strength and determination, she had a heart full of love.

She adored her beloved dog, Zarzar - lovingly known as Zara - who brought her endless joy and companionship. Anyone who knew her knew how much that little companion meant to her. She was also a kind and loving sister. She shared a special bond with her siblings - Kam, Akira, and her little brother Brian. She cared deeply for them, and the love between them was one of loyalty, warmth, and family connection that meant so much to her. Kaylei also loved her momma deeply. She always wanted the very best for her and carried that love with her in everything she did. That bond between mother and daughter was something truly special.

Though she may have been petite in stature, her presence was powerful. Her spirit was indomitable, and the impact she made on the lives of others will endure far beyond today. For those of us who were lucky enough to know her, it was truly a privilege to have her in our lives. She brought light, strength, and inspiration wherever she went. She will always be remembered not only for what she achieved, but for who she was - a remarkable woman with a compassionate heart and an unforgettable spirit. And for those who loved her, she will forever remain in our hearts. We will always cherish the time we had with her, she meant more than words can ever fully express.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 3-8 p.m. and Sunday, March 15, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., where a funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m.

Kaylei was every parents dream child. Kaylei was extremely close with her mother Casey and an adoring sister to Kameron, Akira and little Brian. Kaylei was always focused on success. She worked for Diary Queen, Allegheny county children youth and family, and babysat for a family friend and still managed to be there for everyone who needed her. Her loss has left us empty because she was the light in our lives. If you had the opportunity to meet her you immediately loved her. Kaylei I love you so much and I will look after your mom and siblings the best I can.
