Leaving the life and the people he loved, Kenneth Siefert, age 67 of Whitehall passed on August 2, 2026. He was a man of character, strength, wisdom and a positive attitude. This served him well dealing with both successes and adversities.

Husband of 35 years to Wendy Siefert, together, they found a forever love that was built on friendship, interests in traveling, hiking, entertaining, respect, understanding, mutual admiration and a blended family.

Ken was the father of Jesse (Courtney) Siefert and Kendra (Aaron) Phillips. He was the stepfather, who did not acknowledge the word “step”, of Justin (Anne) Leidy and Benjamin (Chrissy) Leidy. He always considered them as his sons.

He leaves his nine grandchildren, Callie, Logan and Brock Siefert, Gabriella and Alivia Phillips, Max, Hank, Avery and George Leidy. His pride and love for his grandchildren were evident and held a place in his heart. Their shared love for him, their moments spent together in time, and lessons learned are the legacy of their grandfather that lives on in them.

Ken was the son of the late Charles and Clara (Sis) Siefert and the brother of Susan (the late Richard) Mackey, Cynthia (Barry) Olson, the late Patricia Davidovich and the late Charles (Peggy) Siefert. He was the dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.

After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, Ken began his successful career as an electrical engineer, was a entrepreneur, and eventually retired from Alps Controls and eParts where he worked along with his business partner and friend Dave Meyers. Together, they earned the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Regional Award.

His success in business was a part of Ken’s life, but not all of who he was. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, gardening, coaching various sports, reading, grilling, horseshoes, racquetball, wine making, a good Martini and time in the sun at Ft. Myers Beach or at his backyard pool with friends, family and his wife, Wendy.

Ken was greatly admired by many. A man is often known by the company he keeps. That was true for Ken. He touched many lives and endeared himself with good times, laughs and conversations and sometimes debates. This was particularly so for his friends Rob, Kathy, Paul and Sharon who gave and shared good times and the trying times. Ken will be deeply missed.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412 881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, August 6, 2026 from 2- 8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Friday August 7, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church at 12:00 p.m. Please send condolences to www.johnfslater.com
