August 10, 1961 - January 15, 2018

Freund, Kimberly J. (Kalsek), age 56, of Overbrook, on Monday, January 15, 2018, Kimberly was taken to our Lord. Beloved wife of Kurt M. Freund, Sr.; loving mother of Kristie L Freund, Kylie E. Freund and the late Kurt M. Freund, III; daughter of the late Frank and Martha Kalsek; sister of Frank (Anita) Kalsek, Jr., Cheryl (Teddy) Ault and the late Betsy Cusik. Also survived by her loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where a blessing service will be held at 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to American Heart Association, 4 Gateway Center, 444 Liberty Avenue, Suite 1300, Pittsburgh, PA 15222 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

    I miss you mum. The days just drag by. I never thought I'd lose you at 26. My new baby is only 4 months old but he already favored you & loved you so much. It breaks my heart that you will not see my 2 boys grow. Physically anyhow. You were what held us together. Please watch over us, especially daddy. We see your signs. Thank you for that. I loved you my whole life & that love will never die. Learning to live without you is very difficult. I miss you so damn much. You were the greatest mother on the planet & I am more than blessed to be your daughter. Now you & Kurtie are together again â?¤ I love you

    I don't have the right words, I am sure..I know Kimmie loved her family with all her heart. My heart is broken for all you are going through. My heart is broken for the loss of my once in a million, beautiful friend. She touched so many lives with love and beauty.. such a beautiful soul dear, precious Kimmie.
