Loving mother of David Metzger, Carol (Eric) Link and Charles (Andrea), Jr. Metzger; beloved former wife of the late Charles E. Metzger; grandmother of Eric (Anita) Link, Russell (Megan) Link, Marissa Link, Nicole (Jim) Weisbrod, Victoria (Steve) Yurechko and Brittany Metzger; great-grandmother of Eric, Emma, Tyler, Tessa, Will, Andrew, Ryan, Alexis and Christopher. Laverne was preceded in death by Irene, Bertrum, Hugh, Mercedes, Helen, Walter and Erma. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, PA, 15227 on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm where a Blessing Services will be held on Tuesday at 11 am.
