Obituary For Lee H. McCormick

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, physician, and friend, Lee H. McCormick, age 91, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024 after living a long and fulfilling life. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 71 years, Barb; his children, James, Karen, Lee (Amy) and Michelle; grandchildren, Ryan, Mallory, Leah, Lee, Xenia, David, Katie and Kelly and great-grandchildren, Tessa, August and Hallie.

Dr. Lee H. McCormick graduated from Charleroi High School (1951), Washington and Jefferson College (1956) and the University of Pittsburgh Medical School (1958). He was a well-respected and loved family physician for more than 50 years within the Baldwin-Whitehall community. He served on several medical committees including the American Medical Association (executive board for Hospital Medical Staff Section), Pennsylvania Medical Society (Past President) and Allegheny Medical Society (Past President).

In his spare time, he celebrated his family, cared for his wife, traveled, and attended most of the University of Pittsburgh football and basketball games. If he was not on a date with his wife or visiting his grandchildren and/or children, he would be at his residence helping take care of his wife Barb and his cat Charlie.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 3-8 p.m. where a funeral service will be held on Friday in the funeral home Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made in Lee H. McCormick's name to one of his favorite charities, Wounded Warrior Project at http://woundedwarriorproject.org/
