April 1, 1929 - January 22, 2014

Mincin, Leo A.

Age 84, on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 formerly of Mt. Washington.

Son of the late Torino and Elizabeth Mincin; beloved husband of Barbara (Ennis) for over 60 years; loving father of Maureen (Guy) Cristiano, Kathleen (James) Bereksazi, Leo A. (Karen) Mincin and Colleen (Steve) Reyes; grandfather of Michael, April (Christopher), Amber, James, Guy, Barbara, Richard, Ashley, Crystal, Alyssa, Steven, Nicole, Zachary and Stevan; great-grandfather of Ryan and Alexis. Also survived by his twin, Torino Mincin; brother of the late Rose Mincin and Edith Cilia. Leo was retired after 35 years as a City of Pittsburgh Police Officer and was an exceptionally loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Saturday and Sunday from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Monday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Vianney Church at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205, American Heart Association, 4 Gateway Center, 444 Liberty Avenue, Suite 1300, Pittsburgh, PA 15222 or American Diabetes Association, 300 Penn Center Blvd., Suite 602, Pittsburgh, PA 15235.

    My deepest condolences to the family on the loss of your loved one. When we lose someone we love in death, the pain, grief, and feelings of helplessness can seem unbearable. But remember that the Almighty God sees your tears, he feels your pain.
