Age 82, peacefully at home on Monday, January 30, 2023, of Pittsburgh. Beloved husband of 63 years to Rose M. (Beseny); loving father of Donna (Doug) Spicuzza, Diane (Ed) Heidkamp and Debbie (Daniel) Bernstein; proud Pap of Michael (Christine) Spicuzza, Aimee (Andrew Kisak) Spicuzza, Rachel (Connor) Wink, Adler (Bri Carder) Heidkamp, and Jacob and Isabella Bernstein; great-grandfather of Josie, Luke, Julian, Arthur, Theodore and Grayson; brother of Robert "Rip" (Kathy) Collins and Richard (Kathy) Collins. Will be missed by his in-laws from the Henger, Black and Christian families. Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends. Lew was a union carpenter with Local #230 and was a member of the Masons. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 from 2-8 p.m. where a funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to Spencer United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 117 Spencer Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15227.
