Obituary For Linda C. Snow

January 23, 1952 - September 22, 2016

Snow, Linda C. (Lewis), age 64, formerly of Carrick, after a long and courageous battle with breast and brain cancer, passed away peacefully at home in Bowie, MD on September 22, 2016. Beloved daughter of Ruth Lewis and the late Arthur Lewis; loving sister of Steve (Diane) Lewis; she also leaves to mourn her passing, aunts, uncles, and many cousins and friends. She will also be sadly missed by her dear friend, Jim Knighton and dachshunds Rusty and Dante. Linda was a graduate of Carrick High School. She enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Bowie-Crofton Garden Club. Linda retired from the U.S. Treasury where she worked for the Comptroller of Currency. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Monday from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Fairhaven United Methodist Church (Window Fund), 2415 Saw Mill Run Boulevard, Pittsburgh, PA 15234.

    Linda Snow will be greatly missed by the Bowie-Crofton Garden Club. She was a very active member, always ready to do her part to keep the Club a success. She was in charge of road cleanup, the toughest job in the Club, and membership, the most labor- intensive. She wore the best costumes to our Halloween parties and was so fun to be with. Our deepest sympathy to her family and friends.
