Obituary For Linda J. McGoogan

Age 77, on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, of Monroeville.

Preceded in death by her parents, Hayes and Grace McGoogan and brothers James R. and Frederick "Freddy" McGoogan. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Patricia McGoogan and Donna Boyer, nieces, Sandra (the late Tom) Bradley, Valarie McGoogan, Deborah (Paul) Schmitt, nephew, Ronald McGoogan as well as several loving great nieces, nephews, friends and associates. Linda was a life-long, dedicated employee of Parkvale Savings Bank for 33 years. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling and visiting with family. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Sunday, May 4, 2025 from 4-8 p.m. where funeral services will be held in the Chapel on Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to Zion Lutheran Church, 4301 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15227.

    Lynn Giovannitti

    I always enjoyed talking with "Aunt" Linda at family functions. Everyone knew she worked at the bank. I'll never forget our conversation regarding counterfeit money. She told me the bank doesn't want to get stuck with it either. I don't know why I was so shocked. May her soul Rest in Peace. Lynn G.
