Obituary For Linda J. (Michalski) Lazenga

Age 59, after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, April 25, 2021, of Bethel Park, formerly of Brentwood.

Beloved mom of Adam (Ashley Renze) Lazenga and Taylor Lazenga; daughter of the late Lawrence and Leona Michalski; cherished sister of Larry Michalski and the late Joseph Michalski. Also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Linda will be especially missed by her Bella. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of her prayer service at 7:45 p.m. Interment will be held privately. Mask and social distancing guidelines must be adhered to. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to the Humane Animal Rescue, 1101 Western Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15233.

    I only have happy memories of my times with Linda when we were at St. Sylvester's and Brentwood High School. She was always smiling and happy, and was always nice to the people around her. I am so sorry to hear this sad news. Brentwood has lost one of the best way too soon.

    Linda was one of the most generous people I have ever known. She had a remarkable gift of making people feel comfortable around her. Whether it was playing basketball in our younger days, trivia in our older days, or simply making me laugh with her quick one-liners, she was just fun to be around. Linda was a true friend to me. I will miss her warmth, her intelligence, her humor, her strength, her insight, her huge heart and her love. Rest in peace my beautiful friend. Love you.
