Obituary For Lloyd C. Roberts, Jr.

Age 74, of South Park, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022. He was born January 15, 1948 in Cleveland, OH, to the late Lloyd, Sr. and Clara May Roberts.

Loving father of Megan C. (Trent) Gilland and Kathryn R. (Nathan) Hull; proud grandfather of Asher, Joanna, and Micah Gilland and Harper and Harlow Hull. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Dori M. Roberts.

Lloyd successfully worked for 30 years in sales and equipment leasing. He was an avid supporter of his alma mater, Ashland University, rarely missing a homecoming weekend or gathering with his Sigma Nu fraternity brothers. He loved classic cars, Doo-Wop music, and enjoying a good chocolate soda. He was happiest making trips to visit family and friends, and especially seeing his grandkids.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, on Friday, November 11, 2022 from 4 to 6 p.m. where funeral services will be held in the Chapel at 6 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 in Lake View Cemetery, 12316 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH, at 1 p.m.

    Ashland College/University lost a loyal son in Lloyd Roberts. I have many fond memories of Lloyd participating in Homecoming parades with his classic cars. He was always eager to help me in Pittsburgh with Alumni gatherings and even phonathons. He will be missed for sure. Condolences to his family and Sigma Nu brothers.
