Age 89, of Baldwin Borough, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 16, 2023.

Son of Lloyd Reed Frederick and Hazel Newhouse Frederick; brother of Jean Carol, Dorothy Marie and Guy Frederick. He leaves behind his loving wife Margaret Macher Frederick after 63 years of marriage; his children Lynne Marie Frederick Ziter, Lee Anne Frederick Rackus, Lori Beth Frederick Crider and Michael Reed Frederick. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Michael and Gabrialle Ziter, Jolynne, Natalee and Nicholas Rackus, Jana and Daniel Crider and Maxwell, Isabella, Samuel, Abraham, Oscar and Calvin Frederick.

Lloyd was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and had a love of flying. He retired after 37 years of service with the Columbia Gas Company. He was Chief of the Baldwin Independent Fire Company, a great mentor for many people in the community, strong and respected.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Thursday morning at 9:30. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Blessed Trinity Parish, Holy Angels Church, Hays, PA. He will be interred with full military honors at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on Thursday at 2:00 p.m.
