Obituary For Lora M. (Maisen) Schmitt

Age 74, of Baldwin, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.

Beloved wife of 54 years to Kenneth G. Schmitt; loving mother of Nikki (Todd) Schlater and Mindy (Neal) Clayton; proud Grammie of Trevor, Ella and Emelyn Schlater and Kevin and Ryan Clayton; daughter of the late Robert and Helen Maisen; sister of Robert "Robbie" (Pam) Maisen. Also survived by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and their families. Growing up in a Navy family, Lora lived all around the world before graduating from Paxon High School in Jacksonville, FL where she met Ken. She retired from Huntington Bank to care for her grandchildren. Her favorite past time was watching her grandchildren during their sports, band and school activities. Lora will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15277 on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Friday morning at 10:45. Funeral service at Baldwin Presbyterian Church, 201 Knoedler Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236 at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at 1:00 p.m.
