Obituary For Louise Schmitt

July 20, 1924 - January 13, 2018

Schmitt, Louise C. (Pack) Age 93, peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, January 13, 2018, of Carrick, formerly of Beltzhoover.

Beloved wife of 70 years to the late Joseph P. Schmitt; loving mother of Judy (Joe) Graner, Jim (Phyllis) Schmitt, Bob (Carolyn) Schmitt, Chris (Kevin) Schultis and guardian of David Pack; also survived by ten grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Louise proudly granduated from Pittsburgh Hospital School of Nursing where she earned her R.N. degree. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Sunday, January 21, 2018, from 2-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Monday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Sylvester Church at 10:30 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to a charity of one's choice.

    On behalf of Louise's friend and meal companion at the Paramount, Millie Giel, and her family, please accept our condolences on the passing of this truly special woman. Louise was warm and welcoming, funny and full of life. We were so blessed to have known her, if only briefly. Please know that you are all in our prayers during this difficult time, and that your unforgettable mother and grandmother will be forever in our hearts.
