Dear Ones, please know, The City of Pittsburgh has lost a wonderful part of history by Lucyâ??s passing. The Queen of Block Watch will be sorely missed by those she taught the real meaning of beautifying the Telephone Poles with Sofie, to quality of life for all residents throughout Knoxville and Carrick (Murphyâ??s CARRICK GOES GREEN) by awareness of things around us needing done. I am proud to have known this woman from Girl Scouts to my present position as Chair of the Zone 3 Public Safety Block Watch Development and Support. Without her leadership, friendship, and guide, we would not have block watch today. Always concerned for her city, Her smile at the voting poll will be missed also. So rest, sweet Lucy, I only hope I can fill the shoes half as well as you did. Please note: After a two year endeavor, this Wednesday the Public Safety Department of the City of Pittsburgh will announce its ONLINE Block Watch registration for the entire city to participate. This could never have happened without the foundation Lucy gave us.
