Obituary For Ludwig Michael “Sonny” Keglovich, Jr.

Ludwig Michael “Sonny” Keglovich, Jr. was born June 18, 1936 in Pittsburgh, PA to Ludwig Michael Keglovich, Sr. and Mildred Seibel Keglovich. He entered into Heaven on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. He was preceded in death early this year by his wife of 64 years, Joan Shelton Keglovich. He was the proud father of Laurel Candelario, Cynthia Grimm (Sherwood), James Keglovich (Tammy) and Dale Keglovich. He was sweetest Pappy to grandchildren, Melinda Grimm, Lindsay Ritenbaugh, Lauren Abunuwar (AJ), Heather McMahon (Jerry), Kirsten Ritenbaugh and Colin Grimm. He was “Old Pappy” to his treasured great-grandchildren, Jordan Kittel, Bryce Abunuwar and Brett Abunuwar. He is survived by his beloved brother, Charles Keglovich, and brother-in-law, John Kelly, as well as his dear sister-in-law, Jeanne Hecht. He was big brother to the late Robert Keglovich, Louis Keglovich, Glenn Keglovich (Donna), Cheryl Kelly and sister-in-law, Pat Keglovich. He was father-in-law to the late Rafael Candelario. Uncle Sonny loved all of his many nieces and nephews. Sonny was a proud veteran of the United State Air Force. He had an unsurpassed work ethic as a professional driver for over 50 years. He was honored to serve as a deacon at Hamilton Presbyterian Church. He loved working in his garden and serving others. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 6, 2024 at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, PA 15227 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held Monday, October 7, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. at Hamilton Presbyterian Church. Everyone please meet at church. Interment will follow at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Hamilton Presbyterian Church Deacon’s Fund, 4500 Hamilton Road, Bethel Park, PA 15236 at http://tinyurl.com/HamiltonGive
