Lydia "Lee" DiGiosio, age 92, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021. Lee was the badass wife of the late Renaldo "Babe" DiGiosio. Born in Hazelwood where she formed life-long friends, they moved to Greenfield, Bethel Park and finally to Peters Township. Together, they owned Babe’s Bar where she was fondly known as “no more, no less” and was the best Italian cook around. She was great at stretching a dollar and had a knack for creativity - shopping flea markets and thrift stores to remake and reuse. Her sharp tongue, wit and determined spirit will be missed by her children; Mark (Pamela) DiGiosio, Colette (Jack) Freiwald, Vali - who lovingly cared for her - (Rick) Cavanagh, her grandchildren; Alan (Danelle), Michael (Michelle) and the late Richie DiGiosio, Ashley (Chris) Prado, Melissa (Rob) Cochrane, Christopher (Tabitha), Taylor (Jake Machel) and Jace (Tara) Cavanagh, along with her 14 ½ great grandchildren. What a legacy, what a life! We will keep “GiGi” in our hearts forever! Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Monday from 5-8 and Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8. Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Valentine Church at 10:00 a.m. November 22, 2021 November 22, 2021 November 22, 2021 November 22, 2021 Contact Us to have your link and message added here.
