Obituary For Marie A. Valente

July 4, 1939 - February 14, 2018

Valente, Marie A., age 78, on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 of Whitehall. Beloved wife of 47 years to Salvatore Valente; loving mother of Michael (Charity) Valente and Anthony Valente; sweetest Mimi to Milana, Santino, A.J., Nicholas and Marcus Valente; daughter of the late Modest and Antoinette Damiani. Marie was a genuine, sweet, and generous person who offered her beautiful smile to everyone. She was a kind soul who was known for her distinctive laugh, and her world class cooking. If you were lucky enough to sit at her table, you know that her sauce was perfection and her soup was pure bliss. She will be dearly missed. Ciao bella! Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Saturday and Sunday, February 17 and 18, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Monday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Sylvester Church at 10:00 a.m.

    Valente's, I am so very sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of doing Marie's hair for a long time. I enjoyed our talks together. She loved her family so much, they were her whole world. I will miss her a lot.
